Stefan Fuss

has been training hunting dogs for over 17 years in Germany. During this period, he worked with a wide variety of hunting breeds. These dogs were handled by him during hunts, but also in hunt tests. Since 2000 Stefan has dedicated himself completely to the wirehair Dachshund in all aspects of the breed. He has trained his own dogs and also dogs owned by others. He has passed well over 100 hunting tests in and outside Germany. At above ground hunting, wild boar hunting takes up most of his time, although he has built a great track record of successful wounded game recoveries over the years. He prefers the hunt below ground, which shows through in endless fascination and excitement when hunting foxes and badgers with his dogs.

Chris McClellan

was raised in Farmville, Virginia, where he developed an enthusiasm for the outdoors and a passion for hunting. Local farmers and generous friends gave him valued access to productive hunting grounds. Skilled with shotgun, rifle, and compound bow, Chris has stocked his mom’s freezer with venison, wild turkey, dove, duck, goose, rabbit, and squirrel. In his younger years, he spent countless hours roaming rural central Virginia while perfecting his art. He graduated from Radford University as a major in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with the emphasis on outdoor recreation. Chris has fulfilled his childhood dream by becoming a professional hunting guide and is currently the proud manager and head guide of Sailor Creek Outfitters in Rice, Virginia.

Josef Ramacher

was born in Germany, and grew up with dogs of many different breeds. For 29 years he has been an avid hunter, but even longer he has devoted his time to training hunting dogs, his own as well as dogs of other hunters. He is an advocate of the positive reinforcement dog training method. Josef’s greatest passion lies in blood tracking. He has given numerous well-attended blood tracking seminars in Germany. Under the kennel name “Vom Hirschfaenger” he occasionally breeds standard smooth Dachshunds which have been very successful in hunt tests as well as in den hunting and big game hunts at his own hunting grounds. He is an official German judge for hunting dogs since 2003.

Ryan Rothhaar

has been seriously hunting with traditional archery tackle for 25 years and has pursued big game in 14 states including Alaska, 4 Canadian provinces, and Australia.  His love for traditional archery has taken Ryan from well north of the Arctic Circle to the Tropic of Capricorn, harvesting animals ranging from Texas javelina and Canadian moose to muskox and trophy Asiatic water buffalo. His greatest thrill, however, is pursuing mature whitetails, the wariest game of all. Ryan took part in manufacture of the Rothhaar Snuffer broadhead, invented by his father, in production since the mid 1970’s. He has extensive experience tracking bowshot animals and, with his wife Katia, has recently become involved in the use of blood tracking dogs as an aid in game recovery.
